The Joint Command and Staff Course is tailored to develop the capabilities of student officers in the academic area along with the military and technical areas. The course curriculum contains the Master's Programme in Military and Security Studies, granting Master's degrees to student officers who have obtained a bachelor's degree from the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defence Studies. Students who do not have a bachelor's degree will be awarded an executive master's degree in military sciences. Additionally, there will also be the opportunity of participating in a master's programme offered by Qatar University, King’s College, London and other prestigious universities as part of the academic partnerships.
Terms for awarding Master's Degree.
Those who hold a bachelor’s degree certificate should submit the same (attested) in order to obtain a master’s degree in the future, provided that the conditions are fulfilled. Attention must be paid to the academic achievement of students enrolled in the master’s program to avoid the occurrence of failing in any of the curriculum courses, making the student repeat the course / test later. The following criteria are applied as conditions for granting a master’s degree: • The student officer must have a bachelor's degree, certified equivalent from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. • The student officer must fulfil the college requirements (credit hours).
