Joint Command and Staff Course

Focusing on the practical aspect, the curriculum incorporates many practical exercises intending to develop the abilities of the student officers to analyze, draw conclusions, and make logical recommendations. It also stresses research through scientific research methods and help develop abilities to provide briefings, manage dialogue and communication. To this end, the course curriculum has been tailored on the following pillars:

•      Directives and requirements of GHQ.
•      Vision and mission of the college.
•      The general objectives of the Command and Joint Staff Course.
•      Curricula of the Command and Staff Colleges in the GCC countries and their regional and global counterparts.
•      Concepts of joint operations while maintaining the characteristics of forces (Army, Navy, Air Forces and Air Defense).
•      Cultural legacies and values of the Qatari society.
•      Global academic and cultural concepts for such a level of courses, simulation and war game systems.
•      Concepts of education and training in officer’s qualification courses (foundational, progressive, junior staff levels) at the institutes of Qatar Armed Forces.
