M. A in Intelligence Studies at the Joaan bin Jassim Academy for Defense Studies is a specialized postgraduate program. It seeks to achieve the goals of Qatar’s national security by monitoring and analyzing the various situations that could pose a security threat in both military and non-military dimensions.
Perhaps the most significant strengths of this program are the fact that it aspires to be:
• The first academic program of its kind at the national level.
• A distinguished and unique postgraduate programs in the Gulf and Arab region.
• A program that would serve as a tributary towards meeting the specialized human needs of members of the armed forces and security services, and enhancing professional performance and qualifications of the cadres.
• The program curriculum relies on well experienced academic faculties in the Academy and also it utilizes the services of experts from the Qatar security agencies and government institutions in teaching the courses and providing training.
• It aims to prepare graduates and decision makers with a sense of security and patriotism coupled with high professional ethics to deal with the security dilemmas facing Qatar.
